Approvals: ISSA for 20 CEUs

Prerequisites: Minimum 18 years of age; high school diploma or GED; sports & fitness background recommended

International and Military Students: International and Military students refer to our international and Military testing policy.

Learning Format: Home study materials and proctored exam is hosted at Prometric testing locations.

Certification Requirements: Successfully completing and passing the PFT Proctored Exam. A passing grade is correctly answering 70 out of 100 questions on a 2-hour, proctored multiple choice exam.

Time Limits for Completion: Most students finish within 4-6 weeks with 1-2 hours of daily study. Exam must be completed within 90 days.

Retesting: $95.00. For additional information about retesting fees and other exam policies, refer to the Exam Polices page.

Term of Certification: Four years, after which 40 Continuing Education Credits must be completed to maintain certification
